This sounds like a great
This sounds like a great idea. It would be nice to have priority when being a loyal traveler of an airline. However, i think the amount of miles you get for a flight should be according to the amount of money you spend. If I fly from LA to WA I get the same points whether I spend $400 or $100. And it takes years to just get a free round trip flight. I think there should be a program for people who don't fly for business, as it seems most of these programs are for.
AA's new privileges for preferred customers
Article from: Dallas Business Journal

American Airlines Inc. said Monday that top customers will be granted the carrier’s new PriorityAAccess SM privileges — benefits that are designed to make the lines move faster and the boarding process easier in general.
Fort Worth-based American, a subsidiary of AMR Corp. (NYSE: AMR) says the following customers qualify for PriorityAAccess SM privileges: first- and business-class customers, AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum members, AAdvantage Gold members, AAirpass customers, oneworld Alliance Emerald fliers, Sapphire and Ruby members and fliers who are traveling on full-fare economy class tickets that are booked in American’s Y ticket category.
The benefits include priority check-in at a ticket counter that is set aside specifically for PriorityAAccess customers. And in airports where permitted, priority fliers will have access to faster security screening lanes before boarding their flights.
American says the designated screening lanes will be allowed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Chicago O’Hare, as well as airports in Miami (MIA) Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK and La Guardia), St. Louis, San Francisco, Boston, San Juan and Puerto Rico.
Once at the gate, PriorityAAccess also offers priority boarding lanes for qualifying customers.
