Malaysia Airlines From Sydney
If you are somewhat smartly presented, Malaysia are authorised to offer the odd upgrade from Y to C class on payment of a flat AU $ 500. This is from SYD-KUL.
You have to get the right rapour with the check-in in person, being a Frequent flyer helps, & even a cheeky request for any upgrades that day, subject to capacity. If you earn a small % of miles with a Y fare, then you earn full but x2 with a Business fare so you get a little something back also.
This isnt for business travellers, this is for ord people who want n pay a fraction to upgrade, & for students or gap year travellers travelling thousands of miles, the joining of a frequent flyer scheme will ean you considerable amounts long haul /or much travel, & give you rewards of free flights after. Join BMI's Diamond Club at the mo, n get a free return to Europe ion miles. Travel return to Oz n you fly 22,000 miles. Depending on yr fare, this can buy you a return part miles +small cash, to say South Africa!
